15 December 2011 Air Traffic Controllers strike, crippling Cypriot air space for twelve hours. All flights had to be cancelled, delayed or bought up. This caused a ripple effect around the world, causing thousands of passengers to change plans. This may have been an illegal strike. (Easter week-end 5 April 2012)6 March Strikes are still on. Big news is president Efthymios Flourentzos  informed air traffic controllers that he will bring in foreign airport wrokers to cover any industrial actions.

Friday 2 March Paphos airport strike Noon - 4 today will now go on till 7 PM. Wait another change. Will strike again tomorrow night from 7 PM to Sunday 8 AM. Hopefully the investor from China made it in.

29 Feb. Update:-Cyprus air traffic controllers will now strike from
March 3 Saturday Noon to 3 PM 
and Thursday the 8 March same time .
