August 12, 2013 Pilots from Aer Arann, an Aer Lingus subsidiary have called for strike action. Strike is to start Tuesday and Wednesday, August 20, and 21 2013.
Then two days back to work,
then striking again for two days hitting week-end passengers 24th and 25th August. Bitter dispute will continue in this realm till issue is resolved. Perhaps extending to four days on and four days off.

Will involve flights from Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Connemara (Inishmaan, Inishmore and Inisheer) Airports.
UK:-Cardiff, Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester, Jersey  and in France, Rennes.

Pilots supported company in 09 and took a 10% pay cut and a four year pay freeze.
For management to hire crews and aircraft rentals seems out of their financial reach, but you never know.
